Life can be challenging when we are constantly put under pressure from every direction; whether it’s through our job, relationships, mental health or finances. Sometimes we just need a little help in understanding how to manage the everyday stressors and feel less alone. As a second-generation Indian-Canadian, I have the personal and professional experiences to support you and ensure your intersecting identities and challenges are recognized in a safe space with someone who understands.
I completed my Master’s of Social Work from University of Toronto and have experience working with adults and adolescents in community mental health, residential treatment facilities, non-profit agencies across the GTA as well as providing psychotherapy services for the province of Ontario. With over seven years of mental health relationship building experiences and fostering individual recovery and healing, I practice from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist and trauma-focused lens. I utilize eclectic approaches such as CBT, DBT and EFT when working with individuals as well as using mindfulness techniques to help with concerns relating to: grief and bereavement, depression, anxiety, trauma, personal growth, life changes, healthy relationships, boundaries, and self-esteem. With training in Trauma-Focused CBT approaches such as Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy, I aim to provide individuals with relief from symptoms of and relating to PTSD.
Using a client-centered approach, I hope to support you as we work together to help you use your identity, inner strength and resilience to heal.
