About

As human beings, we go through challenges in life where support may be needed along the way. Engaging in therapy can be an important step in an individual’s recovery and healing journey. It can also take a lot of courage to reach out for help. Keresa is committed to fostering a safe space, where you can begin to work through your experiences free from judgement.

Keresa is a Registered Social Worker. She received her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto where she specialized in Mental Health and Health. Keresa has over 8 years of extensive clinical experience working with diverse clients with complex mental health and addiction challenges, in the community as well as in hospital settings.

Keresa offers therapy to adolescents and adults experiencing a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, self-esteem, stress management, substance use, relationship difficulties, racial trauma, as well as grief and loss. She utilizes an integrative approach grounded in a client-centred, holistic and trauma-informed lens, as well as anti-oppressive and anti-racist principles. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) strategies, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) strategies and strengths-based perspectives.

Keresa works collaboratively with you to develop an individualized plan that is tailored to your needs. She is passionate about supporting clients with their goals and considers the process of holding space for someone a true privilege. She would be honoured to support you on your journey.

Keresa is a member of the Ontario College of Social Worker and Social Service Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
