Nisha is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Psychology from York University. She has several years of experience working with adults (20+) across diverse communities. Her professional journey also includes advocacy work in equity and inclusion, deepening her commitment to supporting underrepresented and racialized individuals who may have felt unheard within traditional systems of care.

Nisha practices from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive lens. She integrates evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and strengths-based counselling. Her work is collaborative and tailored to your goals, honouring your lived experiences and cultural identity.

With specialized training in gerontology and experience in community-based organizations supporting older adults and caregivers, Nisha brings thoughtful insight into the unique challenges racialized elders and caregivers may face — including systemic barriers, cultural expectations, and intergenerational challenges.
