About

Neervana began her education in the field of Social Work back in 2009 where she completed her SSW at George Brown College. She then went on to travel to the Caribbean and South East Asia on various humanitarian and education focused projects. Neervana then returned to complete her BSW at Ryerson University, and then her MSW at the University of Toronto where she specialized in Health and Mental Health. In addition to her work at WellNest, Neervana is a therapist in private practice at the Oakridges Therapy Centre.

As a therapist, Neervana’s approach is grounded in non-judgment, empathy, and compassion. In the initial phase of treatment, she focuses on building rapport and creating a safe and collaborative space where clients can openly and comfortably navigate and explore their unique circumstances. Neervana brings a decade of experience from the social work sector where she provided comprehensive psychosocial support to widely diverse client populations. This allows her to draw from the varied experiences of clients and proactively participate in their journeys of healing and wellness.

Neervana is passionate about supporting her clients from a holistic lens and guiding clients on a unique journey to explore inherent strengths, to discover their resilience, and to learn and adopt new coping skills. In her practice, she is also committed to utilizing evidence-based interventions such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Somatic, and Trauma Therapy.
