For the past 10 years Viviane has helped her clients to create a purposeful and meaningful life by identifying and changing maladaptive behaviors, self-defeating thinking patterns and ineffective emotional responses that prevent people from living the life they aspire and deserve.
With a warm and approachable personality as well as a genuine curiosity, Viviane strives to establish trust with her clients by promoting a safe, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental space that fosters a positive therapeutic alliance.
Viviane uses a client-centered and strength-based approach. She knows that it takes a lot of courage to seek help and she feels honoured to be part of her clients’ self-exploratory journey. Viviane believes that each person is the expert of their own life, and she eagerly supports her clients finding their own answers to their life problems.
Viviane works collaboratively with clients to address issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, lack of self-esteem and self-confidence, problem gambling, borderline personality disorder, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress and burn out.
In addition to a Maters degree in Social Work from Windsor University, Viviane completed training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. She has extensive experience working as a clinical Social Worker in a hospital setting.
