Her psychotherapy approach comes from several modalities including; mindfulness practices, cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths based, narrative therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, grief recovery and empowerment and wellness support. You will also find plenty of humor with her. Thameena believes it is good to laugh even when we are struggling; it aids in healing and moving forward. She believes in the uniqueness of each individual and tailors her approach based on your needs and goals.
Her philosophy is, you have everything to gain by believing in yourself. Mental health, trauma, grief and painful feelings can leave us all feeling very stuck and lost in our own lives. She strives to build hope and resiliency that can help foster a healthy relationship with yourself. As you begin to heal and acknowledge your strengths, you will see just how much you are capable of.
Thameena believes in planting seeds of kindness and compassion in every client she encounters, because when you learn to accept those qualities in yourself, anything is possible. It is okay to build the life that you deserve. You are worth it.
