I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University and I have a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor. Currently, I am a Registered Social Worker with the College of Social Worker and Social Service Worker, and I am also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
I have been working in the social service field for almost ten years, and I have been working with clients from various backgrounds, including immigrant families, domestic violence victims, and marginalized populations.
I have completed training in Narrative Therapy, Emotion-focused therapy for individuals, Dialectical Behavior Therapy for groups, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. My approach to therapy is a client-centered, anti-oppressive, and strength-based approach, I work with clients together and use a therapeutic approach based on clients’ needs. Going through a hard time in life is like walking alone in a dark tunnel and I am here for my clients to help them see the light at the end of the tunnel.
In addition to providing individual counselling service, I am also employed with the City of Toronto as a caseworker.
I can provide counselling services in English and Mandarin.
