Angela has a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto. She is a skilled and compassionate therapist with over 15 years of experience as a clinician in the mental health field. In addition to her individual therapy practice, she is employed full time as a Social Worker at Humber River Hospital’s outpatient mental health clinic.
Angela works from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and trauma informed framework. She strives to work towards helping people achieve their goals, increase self awareness, build coping skills and most importantly make meaningful change in their lives. Angela believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and strives to create a safe, respectful and nonjudgmental environment to help you work towards your goals. She offers therapy to individuals struggling with a variety of issues including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, self esteem, stress management, relationship challenges, coping with grief/loss, managing difficult emotions and coping with life transitions.
She utilizes evidence based therapeutic approaches that are effective and catered to your individual needs. Her primary therapy modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, solution focused/strength based interventions and mindfulness approaches.
